Review: Lush UltraBland Cleanser

www.lush.co.uk
Since I fell in love with their moisturiser "Celestial" - link, I was eager to try out more of lushes skin care products. What better than to try out a new cleanser. I got myself a small little pot (45g) to try out. The above image is from lushes website but the product is a pale yellow in the tub.

I've really gotten into using cleansers that you wash off with a warm cloth. This formula is quite oily and has a very strong beeswax scent to it. My first attempt at using this was to remove make up. For me, I hated the texture. It felt more greasey than oily, the smell did put me off. But the biggest shame was that it didn't remove eye make up that well. To use this in my night time routine I first must remove my eye make up with my bio derma, and continue on to this step. My preferance is to use this product in the morning, using only a very small amount. When using at night time I have to use it twice to make sure I'm really clean faced.

After my skin does feel clean, but I think I prefer a hot cloth cleanser like from the scanturary or soap and glory which is a bit more creamy based or something like Johnson's cream wash - link for night time routine, as the oily texture is slightly off putting. But the product does work at cleaning your face.

This is one of Lushes top products, although I may not like the texture of this product, it might work for someone else.

Remember keep your empty lush pots, as 5 empty pots = 1 free face mask!

Discontinued: Benefit 10

Benefit is giving 10 the chop!

How dishearting is it when brands start discontinuing  products? I read on benefit's irish twitter that they are discontinuing 10.

Am I the only person who slow down using a product once I hear of it being discontinued and especially if I've hit pan, I want to preserve it and not use it as much. The boxed powders from benefit are fantastic. I don't know anyone that isn't a fan of them. So if you love this product, and don't want it to go away just yet...pop along to a benefit counter and stock up or buy a spare one!

Sure what does this mean?? Well they could just be bringing out an even more amazing product in the future! EEkkk!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Review: Lush Celestial Facial Moisturiser

www.lush.co.uk

For the past 5 months I've been using this product and I now feel confident enough to tell you all what I think of it.

I first received this as part of my Christmas present from a very good friend of mine who loves Lush products. I've never tried any of their skin care before so I was very curious when I opened my first tub at the start of this year.

LUSH Celestial Facial Moisturiser

It comes in Lushs famous little black tubs (bring 5 back for a free face mask!). It is aimed for those with sensitive skin. It has a balm-like texture and a little goes a long way! It's made with almonds, but doesn't have an over powering almond fragrance which I'm rather happy about, infact it's a delicate slightly vanilla scent to it, that is barely noticeable. The fragrances are from the natural ingredients and are not added just to make it nice and smelly. 5 months in and I still love it.

How is it under make up? I've no problem with it! The cream smoothes on and absorbs easily into my normally dry skin. I have been pairing it with my soap and glory serum - link but I've been out of it for 2 weeks and I haven't replaced it yet. I'm going to buy another one... I was thinking of trying out something new but I'd rather stick to something that my face seems to be liking :)

Since using this I've branched out into trying more Lush products (keep an eye out!) and I'm now on my second pot of moisturiser with a third from a birthday present sitting in the drawer.

What moisturiser are you using right now? Have you tried Lush skin care before? What should I keep an eye out for?

Thanks for stopping by :)
